Welcome to the green team page!

The current members are Paul Smyth, Isobel Smyth, Lindsay Frost, Peter Whale and Barbara Haslam.
If you wish to contact the team, please email [email protected]

The aim of the group is to look at ways of supporting a green focus within our church community, looking to take care of creation.
Since we reformed our focus has been based around becoming an A Rocha Eco Church, as this seems an excellent framework to focus our efforts around:

We have worked towards and achieved the Bronze award.

The scheme and award system are based on five different criteria and as a group we are looking at all these areas to find ways to improve what we currently do.

The five areas we are working towards are:
  • Worship and Teaching
  • Buildings
  • Land
  • Community and Global engagement
  • Lifestyle
We will use this page to keep you updated on what we are doing and any initiatives we are running.  If you have an interest in any area of this work, please do get in touch with the team.

One of the steps we have recently introduced is installing bird feeders in the church grounds.  If you would like to help with maintaining them, please get in touch.
As a key element of our land project involves carrying out nature surveys, we would love people from the community to get involved.
