Role Overview: Are you ready to embark on a transformative journey as a key leader in our mission-focused team? We're looking for a passionate individual to join us as a Team Vicar - Mission Enabler. In this role, your primary objective will be to lead and facilitate our church's missional initiatives. Working closely with clergy, staff, and congregations, you'll enhance our outreach efforts, foster community engagement, and drive the overall mission of the church in the parish. Your role will encompass a diverse range of responsibilities, from spearheading mission in new housing developments, supporting and helping to develop our church plant, leveraging existing community touchpoints and crafting new pathways and opportunities for people to explore faith. Your role will be pivotal in shaping the missional landscape of our congregations, ensuring that our church remains vibrant and relevant in the evolving community of Ely.

Role Overview: As our Children and Families Minister, you will work collaboratively alongside the rest of the staff team in helping to lead the mission and ministry of the parish, with particular oversight and responsibility for our Children and Families ministries and teams. |
Summary of the Parish: Ely is experiencing significant growth, presenting new and exciting missional opportunities for the church. With strong connections to Cambridge and excellent rail links, Ely is an attractive location for families. St Mary's Church, along with five smaller village churches, serves the community, with a focus on reaching every home in Ely with the love of Jesus.
Role Description: In pursuit of our mission, you will lead and facilitate the church’s Children and Families ministry, collaborating closely with clergy, staff, and lay leaders. Your focus will be on nurturing and developing existing ministries and teams and further developing our work and connection with young families in the parish. We are looking for someone who can lead and develop both the ministries themselves and the teams that facilitate them as well as playing a key role in developing provision for activities around key festivals and throughout the year.
Person Specification: We are looking for someone who is passionate about seeing children grow in their faith and love of Jesus, with excellent communication and teaching skills. You should be a committed, practising Christian with a heart for building relationships with families both within and beyond the church. Experience working with children and families in a church setting is desirable. This role would suit either a lay or ordained person either with or without formal qualifications in children’s ministry.

Salary: £26,000 to £31,000 per annum (Pro Rata) Depending on experience.
